now posted on the Pack 42 web page.
If changes occur to the events posted, the Pack Calendar will be
updated, and we will do our best to communicate those changes as
efficiently as possible. Please be
sure to watch the calendar closely.
- Boy Talks,
September 11th – As a new recruiting tool Brian MacGregor and other Den Leaders will be going to the Byron Elementary School during lunch time
to visit with boys about Scouting and what it means to be a Cub
Scout. This is in an attempt to
promote and jump-start Join Scouting
Night. They will be leaving
flyers for the kids to take home.
They will also put a press release in the Byron newspaper.
- Join Scouting
Night, September 13th - Brian
made posters to put up through town in order to promote the Join Scouting Night.
- Scouting
Dues - $23 for membership only, $12 for Boys Life = $35 Total. Scouts may opt out of subscribing to
Boys Life; however, it is strongly advised to subscribe. Tiger Cubs pay their dues during Join Scouting Night, and will be
paid up for 18 months, since the Pack’s re-charter happens in February of
every year.
- Popcorn
– There is an option for buyers to donate $25 worth of popcorn to send to
military families. The Scout will
still benefit the same. Boy Scouts
of America Campaign will donate to the Military Troops. There will be literature and information
regarding the new campaign in the Scout’s popcorn sales packets.
